Lloyd’s Register is the compliance, risk and technical consultancy organisation that has been administering the Register Book of marine products since 1760. Lloyds Register inspects ships and their materials and apply their verification process to provide their valuable seal of approval.
The Lloyd’s Register provides clear evidence as to the safety and environmental standards of ships and their constituent parts. It is a list of more than 180,000 merchant ships weighing 100 tonnes or more, tracking information including ownership, operators and the flags they sail under, until they are scrapped, wrecked or deemed incapable of putting to sea.
The Register includes the following, onboard applications for marine pollution prevention, fire protection and life-saving apparatus, navigation, communications equipment and the cables that connect and power these applications.
