NF M87-202 EISF Individually and Collectively Screened, Unarmoured, PVC Instrumentation Cable
Description
NF M87-202 is a French Standard that specifies requirements for both armoured and unarmoured instrumentation cables used for interconnecting electrical circuits and transmitting communication signals within petroleum and petrochemical process plants.
NF M87-202 instrumentation cables are available in core, pair, and multi-pair constructions, with both armoured and unarmoured options. Armoured variants incorporate double steel tape armouring to provide enhanced mechanical protection and are suitable for direct burial installations. The cables feature PVC insulation and a specially formulated PVC outer sheath, providing flame retardancy as well as resistance to ultraviolet radiation, mineral oils, and hydrocarbons.
All NF M87-202 instrumentation cables are screened to ensure signal integrity, using collectively applied aluminium/polyester (Al/PET) tape. EISF and EIFA cable types are collectively and individually screened pairs
These cables are designed for safe extra-low voltage applications and are suitable for the transmission of AC and DC analogue signals. They exhibit resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and are rated for a nominal voltage of 300/500 V.
