Description

AS/NZS 5000.1 XLPE/SWA/PVC + Earth armoured cable is used for fixed wiring power distribution in applications that need mechanical protection, such as in industrial plants, residential and commercial buildings, and underground installations. It is suitable for use in mains, sub-mains, and sub-circuit power distribution networks within buildings and industrial plants and is widely used to power heavy machinery, large motors, and equipment in factories and processing plants.

It is heavily used in renewable sector systems like solar farms for connecting photovoltaic arrays. Due to being armoured with a PVC outer sheath, the cable is designed for direct burial or installation in underground ducts, providing protection against mechanical damage and environmental problems.
