Description
EN 50288-7 cables are available in a number of variants according to their specific applications, with configurations including collectively screened multi-core or multi-pair, collectively and individually screened pairs in metal foil (PiMF). They are also available as collectively screened – collective aluminium mylar tape (CAT) or individually and collectively screened (ICAT).
BS EN 50288-7:2005 Multi-element metallic cables which are used in analogue and digital communication and control systems. The cables have a mechanically robust construction and electrical transmission handling properties. These cables are designed to connect electrical instrument circuits and provide communication services in and around process plants and are not to be used for power supply.
The Cable is designed for internal installation in tray, basket and ladder, and in conduits and ducts. Externally the cable must be protected if buried
