2491X / H05V-K / H07V-K EN 50525-2-31 Flexible Cable - 0.50mm² to 240mm²
Description
2491X is a single-core panel wire with a Class 5 flexible copper conductor in Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation. Designed for ease of routing in tight spaces, it is rated for operating temperatures up to 70°C and is available in various colours for circuit identification. It serves as a more pliable alternative to solid-core wiring in protected environments.
This cable is primarily used for the internal wiring of switchgear, control panels, and relay boards, as well as within lighting fixtures and household appliances. Its flexibility makes it ideal for installation within conduits or trunking. Depending on the conductor size, it carries a voltage rating of 300/500V for smaller cross-sections (up to 1.0mm²) or 450/750V for larger sizes (1.5mm² and above)
Because it uses standard PVC insulation rather than halogen-free materials, 2491X is intended for general-purpose applications where specific fire safety regulations for public buildings are not required. It is built for fixed installations or use within mobile equipment where it remains shielded from mechanical impact.
