Description

ARG7H1R cables are medium-voltage aluminium power cables designed for primary electrical distribution networks and industrial applications. These cables are widely used by power utilities and in heavy industry to connect electrical substations, transformer stations, and major production facilities. Operating at voltage ratings from 1.8/3kV up to 18/30kV, they provide efficient and reliable power transmission across power grids and infrastructure networks.

The cable construction features a Class 2 compact stranded aluminium conductor for a lightweight design, insulated with Hard Grade Ethylene Propylene Rubber (HEPR) G7 insulation. It includes a copper wire braid or tape screen to eliminate electrical interference and is finished with a tough, flame-retardant Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) outer sheath, typically red. Manufactured generally to Italian standards CEI 20-13 and CEI 20-16, the cable meets harmonised European standards HD 620, international standard IEC 60502-2, and flame propagation test EN 60332-1-2.

These robust power cables are suitable for installation indoors, outdoors, in cable ducts, or fixed directly to cable trays and masonry. They are also approved for direct burial underground without the need for additional mechanical protection, operating efficiently within a temperature range of -15°C to +90°C. For installation, careful consideration must be given to the minimum bending radius and maximum pulling tension to avoid damage to the aluminium core during installation.
