450/750V Bare Copper
Our range of bare copper cables for DNO, IDNO and ICP projects provides dependable conductor solutions for electrical earthing, bonding, overhead distribution and power network infrastructure. Manufactured from high-conductivity copper and supplied in hard-drawn and soft-drawn constructions, these non-insulated and non-sheathed conductors are suitable for a broad range of utility and contestable connection applications.
The range includes hard-drawn bare copper cable manufactured to BS 7884 for overhead electric power transmission and distribution systems, alongside soft-drawn bare copper cable to BS 6360:1981 for earthing, bonding and power distribution networks. Each construction provides different mechanical and installation characteristics, enabling DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs, consultants and contractors to select the appropriate conductor for the intended network application.
Why Choose Bare Copper Cable for DNO Networks?
- Suitable for DNO, IDNO and ICP electricity distribution projects.
- Available in hard-drawn and soft-drawn copper constructions.
- Provides high electrical conductivity for earthing and power network applications.
- Suitable for substation earthing grids, earth electrodes and protective bonding systems.
- Can be used for overhead distribution and transmission applications where hard-drawn copper is specified.
- Non-insulated and non-sheathed construction supports direct connection within designed earthing systems.
- Stranded conductor construction supports practical handling and installation.
- Copper provides natural resistance to corrosion in appropriate installation environments.
- Suitable for new network connections, reinforcement projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Available in conductor sizes for both localised earthing and larger network installations.
- Supports fault-current dissipation and equipotential bonding when correctly designed and installed.
- Manufactured to recognised British conductor standards according to the selected construction.
