SANS Type 611 / 611-ECC 6.35/11 kV - 25mm² to 240mm²
Description
SANS Type 611 / 611-ECC 6.35/11 kV cable is a heavy-duty medium voltage flexible trailing line constructed with Class 5 flexible stranded tinned annealed copper conductors, high-grade EPR insulation, individual tinned copper and nylon composite screens, and a heavy-duty polychloroprene outer sheath reinforced with an open nylon braid. This exceptionally resilient cable features three screened power cores and three unscreened pilot cores arranged symmetrically around a semi-conductive rubber cradle center, making it the ideal solution for heavy-duty trailing and reeling applications on mobile electrical machinery, drilling rigs, and conveyors in hazardous mining environments.
The cable is manufactured to SANS 1520-2 for medium voltage flexible trailing cables used in mining operations, alongside material quality benchmarks SANS 1411-1 for conductor flexibility and SANS 1411-3 for advanced rubber insulation and sheathing performance. The cable provides dependable, safe power distribution in the most demanding hazardous and heavy industrial environments where excellent resistance to flame retardancy, UV light, ozone, and industrial oils is required.
SANS Type 611cable should be be installed with a minimum bending radius of 9 times the overall cable diameter during handling and active dynamic operations. It is designed to safely operate within a temperature envelope of -25°C to +90°C .
