SANS Type 633 / 633-ECC 19/33 kV - 25mm² to 120mm²

Description

Type 633 and 633-ECC are high-performance, medium-voltage portable cables specifically engineered to South African specifications for heavy-duty mining applications. Designed for 19/33kV operation, these cables serve as reliable power feeders for mobile apparatus in harsh opencast environments, including draglines, shovels, and drills.

The construction features tinned copper phase conductors reinforced with a nylon braid, individually screened with a composite tinned copper and nylon braid, and laid up with three pilot cores. In the 633-ECC variant, one pilot core is replaced with a tinned copper earth continuity conductor to enhance grounding safety.

The assembly is encased in a robust Polychloroprene Rubber (CR) outer sheath, providing a flame-retardant barrier with superior resistance to abrasion, UV radiation, ozone, and chemical exposure. This specialized construction ensures mechanical integrity and operational safety when deployed in hazardous areas and high-intensity mining conditions.
