Description

YMz1K is a 0.6/1 kV low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) power cable engineered for fixed installations where high performance and enhanced flexibility are required. The cable features a Class 1 or 2  bare copper conductor insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), bundled with a halogen-free filler, and LSZH outer sheath. It is designed for installation in public and government buildings, Offices, factories, warehouses and depots where safety in event of fires is required. Cables can be fixed on cable trays, within conduits or fixed to walls.

It is a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cable, designed to minimize smoke and corrosive gas emissions in the event of a fire. YMz1K  is a cable designation indicating its specific construction and characteristics, often related to Dutch national standard NEN1010. This cable meets NEN 1010, IEC/EN 60228 IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-24.

Installers must adhere to a minimum bending radius of 10 to 12 times the overall cable diameter to preserve core integrity while navigating complex or restricted containment paths. Given its unarmoured design, the cable must be carefully protected from mechanical impact, excessive pulling tensions, and sharp surfaces, necessitating the use of dedicated protective conduit or trunking where external hazards are present.
