BS EN 60228 Cable

BS EN 60228 specifies the properties of the conductors used in insulated power cables and cords, including their nominal cross-sectional areas, material (copper, aluminum), construction (solid, stranded), and maximum resistance. 

This standard ensures consistency and defines the electrical characteristics for conductors ranging from 0.5 mm² to 400 mm². It is the UK's adoption of the international standard IEC 60228, focusing on conductors for power applications, not telecommunication.
