Cleveland Cable supply Cable jointing kits which are used to securely and reliably connect or repair electrical cables, providing continuity and insulation.
These kits are essential for various applications, including extending cable lengths, repairing damaged cables, and connecting cables to switchgear or terminals. They ensure a robust connection, protecting against environmental factors like moisture and mechanical stress.
By using a Jointing kit this allows to join two or more sections of a cable to extend the reach of electrical networks.
They can also be used to repair damaged cables, such as those damaged during ground work or other accidents.
Jointing kits are also used to connect cables to switchgear terminals, transformer terminals, and poles, both indoors and outdoors. They ensure a secure and insulated connection, protecting against moisture, mechanical stress, and other environmental factors.
Cable jointing kits are used in low voltage electrical networks, power distribution, telecoms, data transmission, and signaling.
There are three Types of cable jointing kits:
Resin joint kits : These kits use a resin (often polyurethane) to create a strong, waterproof, and insulated joint.
Heat shrink joint kits: These kits utilize heat shrinkable sleeves that shrink and bond to the cable when heated, creating a secure connection.
SWA cable joint kits: These are specifically designed for joining steel wire armored cables, common in underground and outdoor installations.
Jointing kits ensure a reliable and secure connection, preventing electrical problems and ensuring the continuity of power or data transmission. They protect against electrical hazards by providing insulation and preventing moisture from entering the connection.
